Dying Souls

Dying Souls is a black metal / goth / pagan project that rose from the ashes of Popping Cherries.  We felt that since we'd taken on a new band member it was unfair continuing under the Popping Cherries banner, giving Gwen and C0unt_WAVnstein effectively 20 years of seniority, so we started Dying Souls so we could all start from scratch as equal creative partners.  We also experimented with some new effects on this one like the Gojira FX pedal, which is an octave generator and drive pedal that makes basses and guitars sound delightfully evil.  This stripped down and back to basics music, good old fashioned metal tracks.  -- c0_WAV, 2025.
